Welcome to the BCU Lausanne, a library with a vast collection of books, periodicals, multimedia and electronic resources, covering numerous domains from humanities to the exact sciences. Open to the general public, it is both a lending and a reference library and provides many studyspaces in each of its different branches. It is also commissioned to buy and collect all material published in the canton de Vaud.
One library, several locations
The BCUL site Riponne is located in the Palais de Rumine on the Place de la Riponne and houses a collection destined for the general public.
In addition to its large, exciting encyclopaedic collections which cover a wide variety of subject areas, it hosts specialised services which are directly related to the Canton de Vaud, a noteworthy music department and the BCUL Cultural Events Service.
