Tribute to Jean-Luc Godard

A regular visitor to the Cinémathèque française during his stays in Paris, and a distinguished guest at the Cinémathèque suisse during the many celebrations of his films and work, Jean-Luc Godard has left behind him a unique legacy in the history of cinema.
The Bibliothèque cantonale et universitaire de Lausanne (Lausanne Cantonal and University Library) has a wide range of documents relating to this major figure in the world of cinema. On its Unithèque site, it offers numerous specialized works used for research by UNIL’s Section for the History and Aesthetics of Cinema. It also houses Cinespace, a space dedicated to the different currents and genres of fiction cinema.
Recently digitized by the BCUL, the film magazine Travelling, available on Scriptorium, contains numerous articles devoted to this key New Wave director.
On its Riponne site, the BCUL has put together a selection of biographical works and films dedicated to Jean-Luc Godard from the shelves of Documentation vaudoise.
Finally, the Swiss cinema streaming platform Artfilm offers several films directed by Jean-Luc Godard. They can be accessed via the BCUL reader account.
These various physical and digital offerings will enable you to immerse yourself in the work of a personality who left his mark on both Swiss and French cinema. BCUL hopes you enjoy reading and (re)viewing!
