Patrinum metadata and development specialist

Main tasks

Chair the “Metadata” working group and participate in the work of the Patrinum Coordination.

Coordinate cataloguing as part of Patrinum, the digital asset management system of the Bibliothèque cantonale et universitaire – Lausanne, including the production and updating of cataloguing documentation.

Define and implement the necessary settings for cataloging and displaying metadata in Patrinum, in particular by coordinating metadata enhancement work and carrying out computer processing on this metadata.

Lead or participate in the projects and work of the Cantonal and University Library – Lausanne in its area of expertise.

Desired profile

Master’s degree in documentary information or computer science, or equivalent qualification.

HERMES 5 project management training preferred.

At least 3 years’ professional experience in the fields of archival and/or library metadata and library IT.

English level B2 required, German level A2 an asset.
