Main tasks

As part of your job at the Cantonal and University Library – Lausanne (BCUL), you maintain close contact with users and customers, enabling you to gain a thorough understanding of their needs and expectations. This regular interaction helps you to identify problems and analyze the challenges they face. Based on these exchanges, you develop innovative solutions using a variety of IT tools, enabling you to optimize processes and improve the user experience.

Application development orientation

Once the solutions have been defined, you’ll start programming software applications. You don’t hesitate to adapt applications so that they are perfectly aligned with user needs.

Operations and infrastructure orientation

As part of your responsibilities, you will plan and administer IT infrastructures, both physical and virtual, ensuring regular maintenance to guarantee optimal operation.

Both orientations are possible, and the choice will be made during recruitment.
