In 2021, the State of Vaud granted the BCUL an exceptional budget to support Vaud artists. From then on, the Réserve précieuse acquired a series of works created during the pandemic, in particular during the difficult period of semi-confinement.
The diversity of techniques employed by the artists – painting, engraving, photography, writing, decoupage and collage – testifies to an ever-vibrant creativity. Like so many voices, the works that have joined the library’s collections bear witness to an experience that is both collective and singular.
