Never have a master, Claudie Hunzinger

The language of the forest
Visual artist and author Claudie Hunzinger has lived in isolation in a house deep in the woods for 60 years. Her many novels, including La langue des oiseaux, Les grands cerfs, Un chien à ma table and the latest, published in 2024, Il neige sur le pianiste, tell of the close bond she forges with the animals that surround her. In the face of nature’s destruction, she shows that another path is possible, by becoming enslaved to abolish the frontier that separates us from the living. A unique opportunity to talk to this multi-faceted woman!
