On March 11, 2011, a massive earthquake struck Japan, triggering a tsunami that devastated the coastline and claimed thousands of lives. Jennifer Rainsford gathers the stories of several survivors of this catastrophe and shows how human beings, animals and plants continue their existence after such a trauma. Teho Teardo’s soundtrack contributes to the beauty of this cinematic essay with its striking images.
