And yet… poetry: Philippe Jaccottet

To mark the centenary of Philippe Jaccottet’s birth, discover excerpts from the podcast produced by Chahut Média. This documentary series explores the different facets of the work of one of the greatest French-language poets of the 20th century, and one of the few authors to be included in the Bibliothèque de la Pléiade during his lifetime.
Two poets take part in the dialogue: José-Flore Tappy, literary researcher and editor of the Pléiade edition of Jaccottet’s work, and Fabio Pusterla, author of the preface and Jaccottet’s Italian translator. Together, they reflect on certain moments in the podcast, discussing the influence of this work on today’s poetry and the importance of the manuscript collection held by the BCUL.
An evening to celebrate the work of a mythical writer who has remained elusive in some respects.
