Need a break? Choose a CD or vinyl and start listening!

For some time now, you’ve been able to see some changes in the open-access record collection. We started by airing out our collections by changing the furniture: no more squatting on the floor or climbing a stepladder to choose your records. Just pull out a drawer and leaf through the albums. The space also features a collection of around 250 vinyl records, a display stand on wheels for occasional showcasing, and an on-site listening facility for both vinyl and compact discs. A number of armchairs have been added for more comfortable listening. In use, they can be moved around the Agora as and when required, but there’s always one available for you, and they’re easy to spot – they’re red!

Nearby, you’ll find a station providing access to Medici.tv and Qwest.tv. Did you know that these databases can also be consulted from home? Access to digitized documents from the Swiss National Sound Archives and the RTS Archives is also available on our premises. Don’t hesitate to ask at our counters!

And last but not least, don’t forget that there are almost 32,000 records in store. To find them, go to Renouvaud.

We hope you’ll enjoy the new layout and make some wonderful discoveries.
