Relocation of the academic stacks and 3rd floor magazines starting April 8
During this period, our services will be affected as follows:
- The desks will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. We thank you for preferring the use of self-check machines.
- A waiting time of 3 hours is to be expected for requests for retrieval of documents in stacks.

Closing of the reading room starting from March 1st
Due to the relocation of our collections, the consultation of archives and heritage objects will be unavailable from March 1st until further notice. If you have any questions, please feel free to write to us.
Started in 2020, the extension of the Unithèque continues and, like any construction site, causes noise. The intensity of these inconveniences varies according to the nature of the work in progress. The BCUL thanks the users for their understanding.
This page will indicate any change of schedules or services related to the works. The changes are also indicated by posters in the Unithèque.
Please note that on certain dates, the noise pollution might be significant!
The extension of the Unithèque is a major project that will take place until 2025. The new building will offer many advantages:
- more documents in open access
- more work places
- rooms adapted to groups
- renewed services
Designed by the architectural firm Fruehauf Henry & Viladoms, the new building will integrate naturally into its environment while respecting the original building.
