The « salle de la Madeleine » offers 80 studyspaces (the majority of which have a socket for plugging in a laptop) and works of reference.

The Sound Library offers 36,500 CDs of classical music from the Middle Ages to the present day, as well as jazz, world music, sound tracks and significant works of French chanson. We have also recently added a small collection of rock music with folk leanings.
A media centre offers free loans of 8,000 DVDs, both fiction and documentary.
The open stack Documentation vaudoise area in the Agora hosts almost 10,500 items about the canton de Vaud (covering all subjects and eras) that have been selected for their documentary value.
Parenthèse, a selection of materials specially chosen for parents and children, can be found on a trolley at the entrance of the Agora.
The open stack musicology area in the musicology gallery brings together a collection of more than 12,300 items covering a wide variety of subject areas (biography, history of music, works by musicians, musical instruments, education, variety, jazz, musical scores for jazz and related music, etc.), around a hundred specialised music journals, as well as more than 1,000 music DVDs.
The open-access printed music area has a selection of 11,200 pieces of classical musical scores from every era, which you will find in the sheet music cabinet, next to the musicology gallery. Pocket scores are found in the musicology gallery (shelf area 12).
