Inter-library loans

Materials that are not held in the BCUL collections can be requested from other libraries. This is a paid service and it must be paid in cash when the document is withdrawn.. You will receive an availability notice as soon as the requested material has arrived.

What to do

After having checked that the document sought is not held at the BCUL, you can access the inter-library loan forms in two different ways:

The material is held in Renouvaud, under the « other catalogs » tab.

Simply click on the « Request » link under the « Get it » tab.

Please note that documents from Vaud network libraries (BCUL, BiUM, BPUL, CIO, BIHM, IDHEAP) must be borrowed directly from the libraries to which they belong.

Exception: for reasoned requests for documents held in the BCUL or Vaud network collections, use the online form, under the « Request » tab of your account stating the reason in the comments section.  Requests of this kind are subject to the same conditions and rates as all other inter-library loan requests.
