Access to our electronic resources

The BCU Lausanne gives you access to numerous electronic resources: databasesperiodicals and e-books. Most of these resources are licensed by site. This means that they are accessible from

  • UNIL computers

Home viewing via authenticated access is reserved for members of the Lausanne university community.

Home access for members of the university community

If you are a member of the Lausanne university community (i.e. you have an email address of the type « Your.Name@unil.ch »), you can access the BCUL electronic resources from any computer with an Internet connection using authenticated access.

Access from the BCU Lausanne premises for everyone

If you are not a member of the university community (i.e. you don’t have an email address of the type « Your.Name@unil.ch »), you can access BCUL electronic resources by:

  • Coming in person
  • Using the  public computers at the BCUL. Find out more about those at Public computers at the BCUL site Riponne at the bottom of the page.
  • Save your search results on a USB flash drive or print them

    Currently, only very popular or generalist databases are available on all public computers at the Riponne branch of the BCUL.

    All databases are accessible:

    • On computers dedicated to surfing the Internet
    • On the dedicated computers behind the information desk
    • Via UNIL WiFi

    This access is being rolled out gradually.
